Earlier this year, two dreamy-sounding TikTok audios (dubbed "aquatic ambience (slowed + reverb)" and simply "nostalgia") prompted a wave of Gen Z'ers to put together slideshows of what it looked like to grow up in the 2000s, down to the most minute details.

The videos unlocked some wildly deep memories for me. Like, things I probably haven't seen or thought about since 2009, but that I remembered VERY vividly as soon as I saw a picture.
